We welcomed Aymen and Ibrahim last night at JFK...

Both boys arrived from Libya to be fitted for prosthetic arms at our partners in effort, Shriners Childrens Hospital in Philadelphia. We thank U.S. Customs and Border Protection of Homeland Security, for thier unwavering support in assisting us with all our GMRF kids upon thier arrival. Also we would like to thank our friend Assem for his compassion and tremendous help with his fellow Libyians.

Aymen and Ibrahim from Libya

Last week, we welcomed with arms wide open, Victoria, Amie , and Benedict from Liberia. They lost their legs due to poor treatment following infection.

Today they visited the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia with the company of Elissa and Mrs. Aurelia Curtis. Their treatment started today along with a new road to a better way of life thanks to our donors, supporters and our partners-in-effort.

Today is a very special day for all of us at GMRF and everyone involved in helping our little Malak!

It's been a rough road for precious Malak and her parents; last May she lost her baby brother and sister to the same missile that caused her to lose her leg in Libya. However, today she will go from sitting in her wheelchair to standing on her own! Malak will spend two weeks in rehab learning how to walk again. As always, we are most grateful to our partner-in-effort, Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, our donors and supporters for helping GMRF make these miracles possible!

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of GMRF, we would like to congratulate our Founder and President, Elissa Montanti as she was honored by the Staten Island Community. Elissa, you are indeed a "Woman of Achievement!"
